On 13^th March 2014, representatives of Aletheia University in Taiwan , led by their President, LIN Wenchang, visited GDUFS for the first time. GDUFS President, ZHONG Weihe, together with other leaders of our university, attended this important meeting and expressed their warm welcome. Because it was the first time representatives of the two universities had met, President ZHONG introduced the history and achievements of GDUFS. The two universities communicated deeply and finally came to a significant agreement on the exchange of students.

There is fertile soil for such an agreement. Firstly, the academic majors included in the agreement, such as management and finance, have been developing rapidly in recent years with higher levels offered at GDUFS. Secondly; great emphasis is placed on cultivating the compound talents in the Finance area of GDUFS, which agrees with the goals of AU in that they endeavor to encourage students in both areas of law and finance skills. Thirdly; both institutions are rich in experience in the exchange of students.

GDUFS has built solid relations with 250 universities in more than 40 countries to-date. Our university is also involved in relations with over 10 institutions in Taiwan such as TKU and Lindong Technology University. Also, AU has built up relations with several colleges in mainland China, and all these favorable factors above promoted this cooperation.

At the close of the conference both sides presented gifts to each other expressing the confidence that the good relationship would continue over time and wished success to all involved. And, this coming September, the first group of students will be exchanged. Undoubtedly there will be a deeper cooperation between GDUFS and AU over time.
