On September 10th, the Chinese Teachers' Day, Experience Day of Chinese Culture was firstly held in the no.6 classroom on Xigang campus at the University of Sapporo in Japan. Students from four Japanese high schools attended the activity.

The activity began with the experience class of Chinese language. Voluntary teacher, LI Xizi inspired the students to associate the Chinese tone with sounds around them and let them greet to each other in simple Chinese.

In the appreciation class of the traditional Chinese music, DA Zhao, one of the teachers at Confucius Institution took the students into the wonderful world of Chinese folk music.

Professor ZHANG Weixiong, President of the Faculty of Foreign Side of Confucius Institution, shared his experience of playing Qi Gong, a traditional Chinese system of deep breathing exercises. And the listeners were really excited with it. Later, under the guidance of professor Zhang, the students learned Firm Stand and Fist Position of Cai&Li, both of which are important parts of Chinese Kong Fu.

Besides, the Confucius Institution held some other attractive activities such as the Chinese calligraphy display and the Chinese delicacy degustation.

As for the feedback, the students really enjoyed the activity and looked forward the next one. On the Experience Day of Chinese Culture, the students got an insight into the Chinese culture and China. Some of them said that they had long been interested in Chinese traditional culture and were delight to experience it themselves. Others expressed thankfulness to all the teachers present for Chinese teachers' day, which they knew from this activity.
