On December 7th , the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between Business and Information Technology School (BiTS) (Germany) and GDUFS was held in the VIP Hall, Administrative Building on the North Campus. Attendees from BiTS were: Mr. Roland Schröder, Vice President of BITS; Mr. CHEN Hao and PAN Yunhe, the representatives of BiTS. Attendees from GDUFS were: Mr. YANG Aimin, Vice President of GDUFS; Ms. LIANG Jie, the Deputy Dean of School of Business and Ms. LU Lu from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.

Mr. YANG Aimin expressed his warm welcome to Mr. Roland Schröder from Germany and asked him about his impressions of Guangzhou. He said Guangzhou is a beautiful city, and so is GDUFS. He especially adored the comfortable weather here.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. YANG gave a brief introduction of GDUFS in front of his counterpart. The introduction started from the history of GDUFS, involving the locations of the three different campuses, the number of students and faculty staff, the academic subjects and the cooperation projects achievements. He also expressed his willingness to establish a friendly cooperation relationship with BiTS, which can promote academic communications and students exchanges between the two universities.

Then, Mr. Roland Schröder introduced BiTS briefly, including its locations, history, mainly focusing on the development of the international cooperation projects. He said that BiTS has already built up cooperation relationships with more than 120 universities from 70 countries. As more and more students are interested in the development of China and some Asian countries, he believed that the cooperation between the two universities will provide great opportunities for these students to study in China. He also emphasized that the teaching language in BiTS is English, which is their biggest advantage compared to other German universities. Mr. Roland Schröder attached great importance to the Sino-German cooperation and at last, he expressed his expectations for Chinese students.

After the conversation, they signed the agreement and exchanged souvenirs. Mr. YANG presented a silk painting to Mr. Roland Schröder. Apart from a precious pen, Mr. Roland Schröder also presented a traditional German Christmas cake which was brought from Germany especially.
