Nov. 5th-- The Curtain of the 4thWorld Culture Festival Gala went up on Nov. 1stin Yunshan Hall. With the strong support of the Institute for International Education, a band of talented students from 17 countries gathered together to put on a visual feast that featured fantastic, exotic cultures and customs such as Brazilian football, Thai Buddhism and the Spanish Bullfight.

As the background musicWhere Have You Beenrose above cheers, a team led by Dujuan from Kazakhstan kick-started the gala with a vigorous Jazz dance. The gala was later dominated by dances of various styles--hip-hop, poping, African Aindra Findrano--and arresting songs sung in different tongues.

Chinese students also gave performances playing traditional instruments and showing a kung fu as a way to extend their welcome and thanks to their international friends.

Currently more than1600 international students and teachers study or work at GDUFS, which provides an atmosphere of cultural diversity at our school. To echo the internationally-oriented characteristics of the university, the World Culture Festival plays a significant role in showing different world cultures and promoting friendships.
