Built over 300 years ago, the hall was used for Han people to worship their ancestors and ancient saints. It was owned by YE Gaobiao, a top-ranked capital official in the Ming dynasty. The main parts of the hall are courtyard dwellings, which are typical of the architecture in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The international students were deeply impressed by its high threshold and architectural structure. Moreover, the lawn which came into sight after they entered into the hall took their breath away.
