On June 8th, a brief meeting with Ecuador’s ambassadors in Guangzhou was held in the VIP Hall on the North Campus, focusing on international business as well as the cooperation between the universities in Ecuador and GDUFS. Attendees included the Ecuador delegation led by Molina Rodriguez, Consul General of Ecuador; FANG Fanquan, Vice President of GDUFS and his four respective colleagues.

"Everybody knows Guangwai," said Molina, "We really appreciate your invitation."The meeting started with greetings after exchanging cards.
Fang first gave an introduction on the established Inter-exchange programs between GDUFS and other countries such as the US, the UK, German, Argentina, Chile and so forth. "So far, there have been 115 consulting reports on our exchange programs." He said proudly. He also pointed out that under the assistance of the China-Latin America research team, GDUFS is now seeking possibilities to cooperate with an increasing number of Latin American universities on full-courses exchange on various majors.
As for Molina, she called on expanding the relationship and cooperation with GDUFS, expecting that there could be teachers’ exchange programs as well. She also urged that both of them should go ahead recommending excellent students to the exchange program and even provide them with a chance to start an internship at big companies in Quito, Guangzhou and Shanghai.
The agreements on the inter-exchange program are expected to cover a wide range of areas including courses, diplomas and scholars, indicating that both sides will boost communication, enforce cooperation, increase interaction and achieve new development of the inter-exchange program.
Exchanging Gifts
At the end of the meeting, Molina and Fang exchanged gifts in a harmonious atmosphere. Molina received a box of roses and chrysanthemums representing the profound traditional Chinese culture, and in return sent Fang a book about Quito, the historic capital city of Ecuador.
