On June 7th, the opening ceremony for the 2016 Summer Training Group of Bangkok University was held in Classroom 204 in the MBA Teaching Building on the North Campus. LIANG Xuehong, Dean of the Institute for International Education of GDUFS, along with two teachers from Bangkok University International College, FU Liwa, ZHENG Kangxian and 43 students from Bangkok University, attended the opening ceremony.  

LIANG introduced the basic situation, international strategy and the status quo of foreign exchange in GDUFS to the 43 students, who had participated in the 21-day 2016 Summer Training Group between GDUFS and Bangkok University. LIANG made specific mention of the cooperation between GDUFS and some friendly universities in Thailand, especially the three visits from Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. He also gave a brief introduction to the international students on the current situation of economic development, industrial transformation and future-oriented development strategies of Guangzhou and Guangdong Province. LIANG encouraged students to “listen with your own ears, see with your own eyes, and feel with your own hearts the soaring development of Guangzhou and China”.

FU Liwa spoke on behalf of Bangkok University. She inspired students to take an active part in extracurricular activities, work hard on Chinese and gain deep insights into China.
