On April 11th, Seyed Komail Tayebi, International Affairs Consultant of the University of Isfahan; Ali Masaeli, Consul of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and their party paid a visit to GDUFS. JIAO Fangtai, Vice President of GDUFS, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building on the North Campus. The two parties exchanged views in depth on the development of the Persian Language Department at GDUFS, the scholar exchange program and the cooperation project of tourism and culture.

During the conference, JIAO Fangtai stated that such preparation as their previous discussion and consultation had laid a solid foundation for further cooperation and establishment of a friendly relationship. He also introduced the current situation of foreign students at GDUFS and their exclusive program “Summer School”. Seyed Komail Tayebi mentioned that the cooperation between the two universities had great potential, and he expressed his wish of launching more cultural exchange programs, in order to fulfill the cooperation’s potential.
The two parties finally reached a consensus that the scholar exchange program would be able to promote the development of the related departments at both GDUFS and the University of Isfahan on a basis of equal cooperation.
CAI Hong, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and LIANG Xuehong, Dean of Institute for International Education, also took part in the conference.
After the conference, the delegation held a talk with Iranian students at GDUFS. Brief Introduction of University of Isfahan: launched in 1946, it is one of the top 10 comprehensive national universities in Iran. It has a great number of strong majors, playing an important role in Iran’s science, humanities and engineering fields.
