On December 7th 2017, Jaime J. Goldaracena, Consul General of Argentina in Guangzhou, visited GDUFS with his delegation. SUI Guangjun, General Secretary and President of GDUFS, met the guests in the VIP Room of the Administrative Building on the North Campus. CAI Hong, Chief of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange; YANG Ke, Dean of the Faculty of European Languages and Cultures, and LIANG Xuehong, Dean of the Institute for International Education, also attended the meeting.
SUI talks with Goldaracena
SUI introduced the university’s founding and developing history to the Consul. During the introduction, he mentioned the extent of cooperation between GDUFS and universities in Latin America, and also gave a detailed introduction of Guangdong Research Institute for International Studies. He wished to bring the cooperation between GDUFS and the universities in Argentina to a higher level, the forms of which include the exchange programmes for students and teachers and the co-building of the platform for cooperation.
Consul Goldaracena expressed his will to further the cooperation between GDUFS and Argentine universities. He was also looking forward to seeing more and more merit students and teachers from GDUFS visit Argentina on exchange programmes. He also conveyed his hope that GDUFS would soon determine the specific domain of cooperation with Argentine universities, for example, International Economy or Research on International Trade, and find the common interest for the cooperation of the two parties.
