On June 20, 29 international students from 17 countries paid a study tour to Avary Holding (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd, the world's largest Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturer, and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, the first arbitration institution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao area.

The study tour was one of the events held by the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), aiming to provide international students additional chances to visit leading enterprises and institutes in Guangdong, and gain more understanding of the province's development.

Thanyada Dulyasatien, a Thai girl from the visiting group, told GDToday that most of the enterprises in Thailand were in the tourism and service industries, and there were fewer high-tech companies. "I wish to find an internship in Guangdong's high-tech enterprises like Avary Holding, and learn from their experience in smart factory configuration and management."

Teachers and professors from GDUFS also expressed the hope that high-quality Chinese companies can be included as excellent cases in the learning materials for international students. They felt that such a move could facilitate students to learn more about the latest technological achievements and developments of Chinese companies.

According to Avary Holding, the company plans to invest in a new PCB production base in Thailand, and therefore will recruit more bilingual business talent to develop the Southeast Asian market and assist in handling local affairs. After the day's activity, it signed a practice base agreement with the Institute for International Education at GDUFS.

That afternoon, a dozen international students from Shenzhen University were invited to visit the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) together with students from the GDUFS. Arbitrators had pleasant roundtable discussions with a total of 43 international students from 23 countries and shared their work experiences. Data from the SCIA shows that in 2022, the court accepted 8,280 cases and settled disputes totaling 127.26 billion RMB.

The students will make a special trip to Kingfa and Wondfo Biotech, two scientific companies located in the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and discuss the internship base cooperation on June 21, according to the Institute for International Education at GDUFS.
