1 Excellent New Degree Student Scholarships
Scholarship description:
This scholarship is offered to attract more good quality international students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor’s degree programs in GDUFS. (Applicants with government scholarships are not eligible).
Scholarship coverage and criteria:
Full scholarship: Tuition for the first academic year is exempted.
Partial scholarship: 50% of the tuition for the first academic year is exempted.
Qualifications required:
(1) Abide by Chinese law, regulations as well as University and school rules.
(2) Be excellent in both learning and character; well-behaved person in original school.
(3) HSK score and TOFEL scores meet the admission requirements of specific majors.
(4) Other traits that show excellent performance.
(5) Must have not obtained for any other scholarships offered by the Chinese government.
How to apply?
(1) Qualified applicants should submit “Scholarship Application Forms”, registration materials and recommendation letter (written by president or head teacher of the original high school) to the Institute of International Education (IIE) between May 1stto July30theach year;
(2) “Scholarship Application Forms” can be downloaded from the IIE website.
(3) Evaluations will be made by GDUFS and all final results will be announced before the end of August.
2 Excellent Keep-on-study Degree Students Scholarships
Scholarship description:
This scholarship is offered to encourage excellent international students pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor’s Degree programs in GDUFS. (Applicants with government scholarships are not eligible).
Scholarship coverage and criteria:
Full scholarship: Tuition for the first academic year is exempted.
Partial scholarship: 50% of the tuition for the first academic year is exempted.
Qualifications required:
(1) Abide by Chinese law, regulations as well as University and school rules.
(2) Satisfy all requirements for academic credits for the previous academic year and have an average passing score of at least 90,
single subject score passing 80 and comprehensive score placing the student among the top 30% for all degree students.
(3) Average attendance rate is not less than 90%.
(4) Must have not accepted any other scholarships offered by Chinese government.
(5) Applicants with additional excellent performance will be given priority.
How to apply?
(1) Qualified applicants should submit “Scholarship Application Form” and transcript for the previous year to the IIE office
between July 1stto July30th. Failure to apply for it before the deadline will be regarded as declining the opportunity.
(2) “Scholarship Application Form” can be downloaded from the IIE website, the column entitled “Reasons to recommend”
should be used as the form for an overall evaluation written by a teacher or a tutor.
(3) Evaluations will be made by GDUFS and all final results will be announced before the end of August.
3 Excellent New Language Student Scholarships
Scholarship description:
This scholarship is offered to attract excellent new language students to study Chinese at IIE (Students with government scholarships
are not eligible).
Scholarship coverage and criteria:
Full scholarship: Tuition for the first semester is exempted.
Partial scholarship: 50% of the tuition for the first semester is exempted.
Qualifications required:
(1) Abide by Chinese law, regulations as well as university and school rules.
(2) Be excellent in both learning and character; well-behaved person in original school.
(3) Length of study planned is more than one year.
(4) Have not obtained any other scholarships offered by the Chinese government.
(5) Applicants with additional excellent performance will be given priority.
How to apply?
(1) Qualified applicants should submit all “Scholarship Application Form”, registration materials and recommendation letter
(written by president or head teacher of the original high school) to the IIE office between May 1stand July30thevery year;
(2) “Scholarship Application Forms” can be downloaded from the IIE website;
(3) Evaluations will be made by GDUFS and all final results will be announced before the end of August.
4 Excellent Keep-on-study Language Student Scholarships
Scholarship description:
This scholarship is offered to encourage well-performing students to continue their language study programs (Students with government scholarships are not eligible).
Scholarship coverage and criteria:
Full scholarship: Tuition for the first semester is exempted.
Partial scholarship: 50% of the tuition for the first semester is exempted.
Qualifications required:
(1) Abide by Chinese law, regulations as well as university and school rules;
(2) Have completed at least one-year of study and demonstrated plans to continue study at IIE for at least one additional semester;
(3) Previous studies well done for all subjects in the previous semester, achieving a final score standing among the top 30% of
students in the class;
(4) Average attendance rate must be more than 90%;
(5) Must have not obtained any other scholarships offered by Chinese government;
(6) Applicants with additional excellent performance will be given priority.
How to apply?
(1) Qualified applicants should submit scholarship application documents (“Scholarship Application Form” and transcripts for the
previous academic year) to the IIE office between July 1stto July30th. Failure to apply for the scholarship before the deadline
will be regarded as declining the opportunity;
